Which Indicator From the Charts Section is Most Useful for Me?
September 18, 2010, 12:00 PMAlthough I am a new subscriber, I have followed you for some time. I congratulate you on your abilities and insight. I will see if I can get lucky twice and raise a couple of additional issues:/
My only opportunity to trade significantly in precious metals is through my 457 plan in a fund - "OGMCX"; which of your indicators would serve me best in this regard?
(...)
Below is the link to the fund profile, better so that I don't leave anything out that you might want to consider. Again, this is my only choice - only good thing is that the 457 avoids all the sale charges. I find, performance-wise, that it pretty much is a proxy for GDX. If you could identify which of your indicators would serve me best, that would be great. And with respect to those indicators, may I presume that no entry on a given day means follow the last entry given previously?

Do you feel that the Canadian, US, and Australian stock markets will survive?
August 4, 2010, 12:00 PMI have been asking this question of other writers and advisors and would appreciate your courtesy of a reply.
I'm an investor of BOTH paper PM stocks and physical PM. Paper for the great leverage to the price of silver. Physical silver for bartering and survival. I have been asking learned advisors such as yourself this question and would be very interested in your opinion: Do you feel the Canadian, US and Australian stock markets will survive as a viable marketplace for trading paper precious metal stocks? Or do you feel that the financial systems are so fragile now that you are advising your clients only to purchase physical precious metals?

Precious Metals are usually weak during the summer months. Why is it different this year, or is it?
May 29, 2010, 12:00 PMI do not recall that you have said anything about the summer months including May, being slow periods for precious metals. PMs usually are down some in May, June, August and parts of October. If so, why is this year different, or is it??

Volume is so important on stocks - does volume influence your option picks?
April 15, 2010, 12:00 PMthanks for your reply & i didn't mention what a great move rgld made for you, congrats. just one more huge concern i've always wondered about.the volume on rtp options is so small with only 18 open interest on may 135 calls.if your call is in money but there is no one to buy it could that prevent you from selling.are there exchange rules on this?volume is so important on stocks does volume influence your option picks?

Wouldn't small volume on the options market cause their price to spike if many investors buy at the same time?
April 5, 2010, 12:00 PMI have been trying to get a feel of your service the last week and how I might benefit from it. One of the strategies I am interested in is the short term option trades. From what I can tell, it looks like you use the GDX for your option trades. Are you concerned about the relatively small volume of option trades of GDX and how this might affect prices if you have a large number subscribers trying to enter a trade?

Why do we need graphs, slopes, etc.? Can't we just stick to fundamentals?
March 12, 2010, 12:00 PMYou know, all this "technical analysis", graphs, slopes etc does not mean much if anything. Markets don’t look back and are not related to the past at all , except some people look for similarities. The gold price at this time is dictated by the flow of speculative capital , usually nervous in such situations : what to do and where to go to make some profit. A lot of naïve and confused investors still out there ( ref. Barney Madoff story).

Are numismatic coins better than junk coins?
February 3, 2010, 12:00 PMMy friends keep telling me that I should sell my beautiful numismatic gold and silver coins and buy bars and junk coins instead. They tell me that my numismatic holdings will not appreciate as much as other forms of precious metals. Is that true? How could it be - won't people value the top-quality bullion more and price it higher than ordinary bars or junk coins?
