The S&P 500 index trades 0.2% higher, after opening lower on weak European stocks performance. Investors hope for a continuation of the long-term uptrend. The nearest resistance is at 1,770-1,775, marked by the October 30 all-time high of 1,775.22. The S&P 500 futures contract (CFD) is near its all-time high, as it tests the resistance at around 1,770:
