Is there any difference between the Democrats and the Republicans for a precious metals investor?
Does it matter if it is the Republicans or the Democrats who control the House and the Senate? Will a change of the party in power change your views on the market?
Not really. Republicans and Democrats (Demopublicans and Republicrats?) are quite similar in terms of the most crucial aspect of the economy - none of them will take real steps to take care of structural problems. None of them will take a responsible approach and admit that interest rates have been too low for too long, which created excessive liquidity, over consumption and misallocation of capital. Now the American people are paying the price. Regardless of who wins the elections, the price of gold will most likely continue to rise in the long run, with corrections from time to time.
