  • The Odd Silence

    November 3, 2017, 9:44 AM

We now know the name of the Fed’s next chair and we know the latest employment numbers. We are also after the first interest rate hike by the Bank of England in a very long time and… Nothing happened. Why didn’t gold react? Why isn’t it moving in any direction?

  • Silver and an Important Invalidation

    November 2, 2017, 7:58 AM

Yesterday’s session was quite average if one focuses on the performance of gold and the mining stocks, but it was far from being average in case of silver. The white metal soared almost 3% erasing several days of declines in one take. What are the implications?

    November 1, 2017, 6:18 AM

In yesterday’s alert, we wrote that the previous days’ gains were likely just a pause and not a major turnaround and we didn’t have to wait long for the confirmation - gold, silver and mining stocks declined during yesterday’s session. The important thing is that the month is now over, which means that we can analyze the monthly price moves and the monthly volume levels. What do these major factors suggest?

  • Game-changers or Pauses?

    October 31, 2017, 8:11 AM

Gold, silver and mining stocks moved higher yesterday while the USD Index declined. In fact, it was the biggest daily decline in the latter in almost 3 weeks and it took place right after the RSI based on the USD Index touched the 70 level. Have we just seen a reversal in currencies and precious metals?

  • Friday’s Reversals and Weekly Signs

    October 30, 2017, 9:21 AM

No market can move up or down in a straight line and Friday’s session proved that mining stocks are not immune to this rule. The latter rallied, while the USD Index reversed before the end of the session. Was this the end of the decline – something that gold and silver’s Thursday’s show of strength had heralded?
